Let me tell you a little story..
Chris Roberts was a UK music "journalist" and he fancied Wendy...
He ALWAYS wrote asskissing articles like the one above...
He clearly fancied Wendy James and she knew it too...
She cynically used him for free publicity..
Wendy's management "hired" him to write the words on the band's 1989 Tour Program
Which he did and he became the band's "pet" journalist..
He wrote more "flattering" article about Wendy in 1991...
Then he asked her out on a date..
She agreed to meet him in a pool hall.
She didn't..
She stood him up...
He was ugly and creepy..
But not famous and loaded with royalties like Mick Jones
(also ugly and creepy....but willing to give Wendy some money)
Chris had once boasted about sniffing a seat Kylie Minogue had sat on..
So Wendy did not go on a date with him.
Chris was not happy.
He "changed his mind" about Wendy.
In 1994 he wrote an article saying Transvision Vamp had been a big con...
And he was glad they were gone...
He never spoke to Wendy again...
That is the Ballad Of Chris Roberts.
He faded away after several "career changes"....
